KU Lifelong & Professional Education is here to provide high-quality online professional development programs. People meeting qualifications may be eligible for free or reduced-cost training from KU in the programs listed below. Inquire below for specific criteria and to start your application process. Funding for courses is available through the Johnson County Workforce Partnership office.

Funding Navigation

There is no "owner's manual" for first-time supervisors and new managers. It can be daunting to effectively manage a team of professionals, make important decisions and navigate through organizational change without losing momentum. If you are new to managing people, want to move into management or need a refresher, this course is for you.

This series of recorded webinars is designed to equip new managers with tools to lead people, enhance productivity and avoid costly decisions. This fully online program is designed to provide future RBTs with the 40 hours of guided training required to take the RBT Competency Assessment and Exam. With coursework designed and conducted by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst from the University of Kansas Department of Applied Behavioral Science, the KU RBT Online Certification Prep Course makes it easy for students to enter this in-demand field.

Those who complete the training will receive a Certificate of Completion that can be submitted to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as part of the RBT certification process.

This online program prepares new Green Belts to lead projects and contribute to improving services and manufacturing. You will learn to apply the Six Sigma DMAIC model (define, measure, analyze, improve and control) for these improvement activities. Those who pass the exam will receive Green Belt certification from the University of Kansas.
