Individual and Corporate Giving

We are happy to accept donations in any amount, from individuals or corporations, but the following categories allow you to choose the level you are comfortable with.

The number of people over 65 is expected to almost double in 20 years. Learning new things is the best way for older adults to maintain healthy mental function. But that’s not why more than 3,000 seniors took Osher Lifelong Learning courses at KU this year. They did it for the joy of learning.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at KU is one of the amenities that add to the quality of life in your community. Your gift helps ensure that quality of life.

Your tax-deductible gift will make a real difference. Please choose the level at which you are able to contribute.

  • Supporter: $50–$74
  • Patron: $75-$99
  • Benefactor: $100–$249
  • Sponsor: $250–$499
  • Trustee: $500–$999
  • Regent: $1,000+

Gifts at any level can be made "in memory of" or "in honor of" a special person.

Osher accepts major gifts (above $5,000) and planned gifts (through wills and trusts). To learn how you can support Osher’s mission while ensuring your family’s financial security, call Andy Morrison at 785-832-7327 or email amorrison@kuendowment.org.

There are four ways to donate.

  • Visit KU Endowment to make a secure donation online. Remember to indicate "Osher" in the line, "My gift will benefit __________."
  • Call KU Endowment at 888-653-6111 or donate online.
  • Or simply make your check payable to KUEA/Osher and mail to KU Jayhawk Global, attn: Osher; 12600 S Quivira Rd, Overland Park, KS 66213.

Business Friends

Partnering with the KU Osher Institute would enable your business to show your support for KU and its lifelong learning efforts. It would also raise awareness of your goods and services among our members.

Become an Osher Business Friend

As an Osher Business Friend, your business would be listed in each of our regional catalogs, which we mail each semester to 34,000 past participants, alumni association members, instructors, officials, and supporters, most of whom are over the age of 60.

What’s in it for you?

You should become an Osher Business Friend if you want to…

  • Partner with KU to offer high-quality lifelong learning opportunities in our community;
  • Raise awareness of your business’ goods and services among our members;
  • Help expand lifelong learning opportunities to communities that do not now have those resources; and
  • Be listed among Osher Business Friends in the 34,000 catalogs mailed each semester and on the Osher website.

If your business serves retirees and other folks over 50, becoming an Osher BusinessFriend may be among the best business decisions you can make. And it’s easy!

  1. Visit KU Endowment's Osher page; or
  2. Call KU Endowment at 888-653-6111
  3. Download the response card (pdf) and mail to: KU Endowment, Gift Processing, P.O. Box 928, Lawrence, KS 66044

The levels of giving include:

  • Regent: $1,000 or more.
  • Trustee: $500.
  • Sponsor: $250.
  • Benefactor: $100.

Of course, any amount of your choosing is welcome.

Donors who contribute more than $1,000 receive additional benefits and premium exposure in our catalog. If you’re interested, contact us at osher@ku.edu

Remember, all contributions are tax deductible. We urge you to give by December 31.
